September 2021: Robin Bolash, InterVaristy at Meredith College

How To Pray
InterVarsity at Meredith:
Places for our small groups to meet that meet the COVID guidelines on campus (this is currently our biggest challenge)
Getting new students connected to Small Groups
For students to say YES to our one-day “Retreat” on campus on September 18.

InterVarsity Black Campus Ministry at NCSU:
For students who have come to the first 3 outreaches to continue to come to the weekly BCM Bible study on campus.
For the Lord to raise up new student leaders so this work can continue and grow

How to Serve + Give
With the limits and restrictions on campus, we are having to “reinvent” everything we do. Our most successful events happen when we can provide a space to gather off but near to campus … and free food. If anyone wants to sponsor one of these outreach events ~ paying for an ice cream social or dinner out for a small group gathering ~ please get in touch!

August 2021: Jobs For Life

How To Pray:
For upcoming fall classes. We are excited, but with COVID numbers rising again, we may need to re-visit our virtual model.

As we re-engage our church partners as JfL sites and support them in recruiting job seekers to participate in their classes.

How To Serve:
Champions/Mentors to walk alongside students, in person and/or virtually. We now offer Champion Trainings to equip individuals interested in that role.

The unemployed and underemployed. We believe our social enterprise model is making a difference. Pray for us as we seek to scale this work.

March 2021: Terri Shell, InterVarsity Carolinas Region

How to Pray:
Pray that the Lord will bless InterVarsity in the Carolinas region as we seek to reach every corner of every campus. Pray that he will lead us to people and parts of our campuses where there is no Christian witness that we might share the good news of the gospel.
Pray that our students will persevere through COVID — for them to experience hope and joy, for those who are struggling with mental health in the midst of the isolation the pandemic brings. Pray that students will connect with and encourage one another to know they are loved by Jesus and to receive his love.
Pray for staff to be creative and adaptable as they minister in this COVID environment; that the Lord to give them glimpses of the fruit of their labor. Pray that staff would rest well and enjoy the love the Lord has for them.

How to Serve:
Apostles families and community groups can serve staff and students through hospitality. We occasionally host staff and student trainings and events in Raleigh and often need housing and meals. Sometimes there is a need for help with logistics help at events. (In-person events will resume after COVID.) We always welcome prayer!
