What We Do

Apostles Student Ministry deeply values building significant relationships with both students and their parents. We have a wonderfully trained, caring and unique leader team of both staff and volunteer adults who care deeply for students and families. We know that the middle and high school years can be difficult, yet incredibly foundational to life, and we are here to walk along side of families while proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ.

The 10:00 Hour
follows the same schedule as the Adult Sunday School schedule at Apostles. We spend this hour divided into Middle and High School. Our goal for this hour for middle schoolers is to teach them the beginnings of spiritual development through a guided quiet time, small groups, and fellowship. We have volunteer adult leaders who also participate in this time and engage in the students’ small groups. Our high schoolers meet in Room 206 for what we call our Foundations class. Each week we have a different member of our congregation teach and lead the class on various current events, important leaders of the Christian faith, spiritual formation, etc. Our vision of this hour for high schoolers is to help students develop a strong biblical worldview and build a solid foundation in Christ.

The Deal
is a worship service for all students in 6th-12th grade. We meet the first 3 Sundays of the month in the evenings, from 6:00-8:00pm. Our evening is divided into two parts; from 6 – 7pm we worship all together in the youth room, hear scripture and a brief message from one of our youth director or another adult volunteer. At 7pm, students break into small groups, designated by age/gender, and lead by adult volunteers. The small group time gives students an opportunity to discuss the message in a smaller, more intimate setting as well as share prayer requests.

The NINE1NINE {based on 1 Corinthians 9:19 and our area code} is an outreach event once a month – on non-Deal nights – designed for students to invite their friends outside of Apostles and possibly outside of a church home of their own.  Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. ~ 1 Corinthians 9:19
