I attended UNC Wilmington, eventually transferring to Mount Olive College (now University of Mount Olive) where I graduated with a BA in Church Ministries. During my time in college and just after, I was able to participate in my first international mission trips to Mexico and then to Africa, both of which still have a piece of my heart. In 2005, I lived in Kampala, Uganda for three months where I served at an orphanage and school through the Rafiki Foundation. My life was forever changed by that experience and I will always long to return. Through all of my travels, though, I have found that there is no mission field quite like the one in our own backyard. I moved to Raleigh from Wilmington in 2012 and began attending COTA soon after. In November of 2015, my church home also became my work home. It is quite a joy to work with a staff and a congregation with the mission to seek the lost, build up the found and transform the city through Jesus Christ.
