Community Groups

VISION
Our vision for Community Group Ministry is modeled after the Apostolic Church as presented in the book of Acts 2:42-47.  In this passage, we see that the early church:

  • Devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching
  • Devoted themselves to fellowship with one another
  • Devoted themselves to prayer
  • Cared for one another’s needs
  • Praised God with sincere hearts

The early church experienced tremendous growth and everyone was cared for in deep and tangible ways.  We desire for our Community Groups to look like this—in heart and purpose and result.

BE CONNECTED!
We are a community.  We are not ourselves by ourselves.  We are born into communities, we live in communities, we die in communities.  Human beings are not solitary, self-sufficient creatures.—Eugene Peterson.  In what we often call an ever-more-connected-culture, people are actually feeling less and less authentically connected.  Often we say that our faith walk is a personal journey.  Instead, we are built for community.  Community Groups connect people, allow for care, build deepening relationships and encourage one another to grow in depth with Christ.

SUNDAY EVENINGS
The logistics of childcare often make community groups difficult for families.  The church provides childcare on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A COMMUNITY GROUP?
