We are committed to planting churches through Church of the Apostles, and enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie before us, because:
- We have been instructed by Jesus to go out into the world and make disciples. Church planting has been consistently effective in going out into new communities to make disciples. Church planting has been in the DNA of Apostles from our inception, and greatly helps us to fulfill our mission to reach the lost, build up the found, and transform our city.
- We are faced with a vast opportunity in the Triangle, a field white unto harvest. The Triangle is the largest metropolitan area in North Carolina, and Raleigh is the 6th fastest growing city in the United States (Forbes April 18, 2012).
- We are stewards of God’s gifts to us, the people who attend Apostles, the wealth entrusted to us, and the gifts he has given to each of us. Apostles is a classic Resource Church for church planting: one to whom much has been given, so that we may give and serve in many ways.
- We will mature and grow spiritually, both individually and as a church, as we continue to give ourselves away in service to Jesus and His work in the world.
