I was born in Long Branch, New Jersey and moved to Burlington, North Carolina when I was in elementary school after my stepfather was transferred there with his employer. Even though I was young, the transition away from my extended family was a bit overwhelming for me. Looking back, I can see God’s hand at work and His purpose for moving us.

I moved to Raleigh after high school, attended college at NC State, and soon after got a job at a large telecommunications company in Research Triangle Park. It was there I met my husband, Bill, who coincidentally was from a town in Pennsylvania, which is two hours from my family in New Jersey. This has made family holidays much easier for us. We also come from similar heritage of Polish and Slovak and have shared some similar traditions. We were married in 2000 and our son, Will, was born in 2002. In 2005, our daughter, Rachel, was born. I left working in the corporate world to become a stay at home mom.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially vacationing in the Outer Banks in the summer and the Pennsylvania mountains in the fall. I also like to read mysteries and historical biographies when I have free time.

My life verse which pretty much sums up my journey with Christ is Ephesians 2: 8-11 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Our faith is a gift of God and cannot be earned and I am truly grateful for that gift.
